Barcelona Hosts UfM 2025 Report on Mediterranean Cooperation

Towards a More Integrated Mediterranean: The Barcelona Meeting

On 12 September 2025, Barcelona will host the presentation of the Union for the Mediterranean Report on the Progress of Regional Integration.

Organised by the UfM Secretariat in partnership with German Development Cooperation and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the event will bring together a wide range of actors and stakeholders.

The objective is to provide an updated overview of economic integration in the Mediterranean, highlighting achievements and challenges in key areas: trade, finance, infrastructure, mobility of people, as well as higher education and research.

Through this dialogue, participants will share experiences and recommendations to strengthen regional cooperation, foster inclusive and sustainable growth, and consolidate ties between the two shores of the Mediterranean.
