As the lack of access to finance remains the main obstacle for innovative companies in the MENA region, THE NEXT SOCIETY introduced the 1st Investment Academy, a special 16-hour coaching event on “Preparing for due Diligence”. Organised on October 3rd-4th 2019 in Barcelona by EBAN – European Business Angel Network, ANIMA Investment Network and BANC – Business Angel Network of Catalonia, the event took place on the premises of Foment del Treball in central Barcelona.
TRAINING – Beirut welcomes the ANIMA 3rd Master Classes modules on economic development
From September 30 to October 4, 2019, ANIMA Investment Network co-organised with Berytech, a platform to support entrepreneurship and innovation in Lebanon, the 3rd modules of the Master Classes, a cycle of certified training courses on territorial marketing and cooperation project management for 55 students from 8 different countries.

How to establish the connection between research and industry? THE NEXT SOCIETY, an open community of public and private actors engaged in innovation and economic development, led by ANIMA Investment Network with the support of 30 partners and co-financed by the European Union, decided to launch the Tech Booster programme to boost technology transfer in the Mediterranean. Tech Booster supports and highlights the success of scientific research-based start-ups in Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia.
TRAINING – ANIMA launches its new MasterClass program
Since 2002, ANIMA Investment Network has been training and advising economic development agencies in the Euro-Mediterranean area. Its training activities are now extended geographically to Europe, the Middle East and Africa and are addressed to all development actors especially by opening its training courses to elected representatives and territorial leaders of local authorities from 2020.
