The Hub MEET Africa team met this Wednesday, May 17, support operators based in Morocco who work to support diaspora entrepreneurship, at Technopark in Casablanca. This participatory workshop was organized by ANIMA Investment Network in the framework of the MEET Africa project, funded by the European Union and the French Development Agency (AFD), and implemented by Expertise France with the support of ANIMA.

With the participation of representatives of MeM by CGEM, the referent member in Morocco for the participatory governance of the MEET Africa Hub, this workshop brought together a dozen operators supporting entrepreneurship and investment of the diaspora, whether public, private, associative or from international cooperation, in the presence of Virginie Ruyer, MEET Africa Project Manager, and Mame DIALLO, web project manager;

The workshop began with a presentation of the Hub MEET Africa, highlighting its new features and their benefits to members. The offer of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) was also highlighted, with testimonials highlighting the positive contribution of the Hub in the development of entrepreneurship;

The main part of the workshop was devoted to workshops. The objective was to define means and tools to optimize and enhance the country’s assets and attractiveness. Participants discussed various strategies to highlight talents, tenders, projects and success stories. They also explored ways to increase the visibility and traffic of the Hub and partner organizations’ offerings. Key issues were raised, such as identifying the local media most read by the diaspora and the keywords to focus on to stand out, diversifying the content on the platform to attract visitors.

A survey on the impact and satisfaction of the Hub was also submitted to participants. This was done to assess the effectiveness of the program and to gather concrete feedback to further improve it. Participants shared their feedback and vision in terms of features and information relevant to diaspora entrepreneurs. These rich exchanges helped identify potential improvements and innovative ideas to strengthen the effectiveness of the Hub;

The MEET the Network Morocco event was a real success, creating a synergy between the key actors of the Moroccan entrepreneurial ecosystem. This meeting allowed to strengthen ties, to promote the exchange of experiences and knowledge, and to open new perspectives for the development of entrepreneurship in Morocco;

A big thank you to the Technopark of Casablanca which hosted the event, and to all the participants for their contribution;
